Event Details
4-H Dog Expo is for 4-H members enrolled in dog projects, as well as 4-H volunteer leaders and parents. 4-H members should bring their dogs to participate in Obedience, Showmanship, Agility and Rally activities and clinics, as well as take the Canine Good Citizen Test. Dog-related exhibits will be on display throughout the day. Food will not be available on the grounds; however, fast food restaurants are within 10 minutes.
GOALS/OBJECTIVES:
4-H Dog Expo is designed to:
Teach participants dog handling techniques to promote a closer human-animal bond and help insure participant’s safety.
Teach participants positive training techniques to improve their performance as youth-dog teams.
Teach youth skills needed to improve their showmanship, obedience, agility and rally performances.
Offer youth and dogs the opportunity to become Canine Good Citizens.
Increase participants’ understanding of humane education, and improve their abilities to practice positive character building, sportsmanship, and ethics.
Increase participants’ awareness of the many opportunities available in 4-H, as well as the dog industry, including careers and community service.

Registration and Entry Forms
Registration/Entry Notes: Registration for youth is $5.00 per event. Registration the day of event is $5.00 per youth in addition to $5.00 per activity. Volunteers and parents can attend for free.
